I think my dark line is over and I am getting more and mor new interesting contracts and more new great friends!!! I am myself very exciting about modeling. It's not a secret, that top Russian coaches get till 50% of all incomes their students. After we didn't sing cont act with Tarasova, she understood that we will leave her after Oly and she started construction plan how to save at least one of us. At that time came to us, to Marlboro Usova. It was misinformation in media and even in internet about that I was going to eave skating. I never said that, I never thought about that. How I could leave my business, that we right finished. Every skater works for medal and title to earn money, we are not the exception. It was given very big misinformation to Evgeny about my pla s for future. At the beginning of our split we didn't understand what happened with us and started argue like kids. In fact I and Evgeny were very good business partners and we did our business perfect. I am very thankful for you Claire, that you can f el my pain. O.K. the time tread everything. Do you have kids? Hi Everyone, IT WAS HEAVEN. Pasha gives her love to everyone and a big hug and kiss. For those of you who have never met her she really loves to hug. Well anyway we skated a long time and had a great time, she liked my new music, actually it is the same song sadene s by enigma but now I have thunder at the end, she taught me a new ending, IT IS SO COOL. I have lots to do to master this one, but I will work hard on it so I can show it to her. she was proud of how far I have come with the Pasha, I did not tell her I had lost the ability to do it, last week and just got it back again today. Well I will write more later, I am so tired from all the skating I did today and my knee is killing me, but I wanted all of you to know Pasha sends her love to all of you and so d I. I wish everyone could have been with us today. I am so very lucky. I took a few pictures I hope they turn out it will be a few weeks before I get them on the board but I will tell you when I do. Since I have taken the liberty to comment on Pasha and Evgeny at another place, I feel that I should post my comments here as well. Dear Jaytex, Thank you for your nice invitation. I have to admit that Pasha and Evgeny were our preferred skaters for years, that's why we were really sad, learning for their split (the reason for which still remains obscure to all). Last year at World Prof. we were told the following story by TV sport commentators: Pasha has left Evgeny, because he has not been up to her talent and so on..... Evgeny left alone, unwilling to give up skating decided to skate with Usova, whose partner as left her as well and so on... This version was presented to the TV viewers of Canada in two separate programs in two languages - English and French. Montreal, where we live, is bilingual with French as the first language. What a distortion... Personall I feel sorry now, because at that time I was angry with Pasha. BTW we think that Pasha should take those commentators to court for damaging her reputation... We were wondering why Evgeny should have done this. Realisticly speaking, Evgeny has not big chances for future development with Usova simply because they are completely different skaters. He is just emerging from brilliant amateur carrier with high ambi ions to prove himself in a professional field, not to mention his great speed, artistry and so on. She is at the end of her professional carrier and has different style of skating. Plus that Evgeny has at least five more years of professional carrier an he really has to stay longer in skating, because he has what to offer. It was a pleasure to watch him last night at CO and I was thinking how right is Pasha to call him " the best master on ice". To us, the best decision to make in their case is going to be if the two of them get together, take a hard look on their differences, problems and controversies, and try to solve them through mutual compromise. Also it would be a good idea if they forget, at least try, some painful moments from the past and take out all the bitterness from their hearts. The only chance for them, in our view, to be at the top, to successfully progress in their carriers is to smooth their "sharp edges" and to work together iracles. God has given them such a gift and it will be a real sin if they destroy it. We think that despite the many bad things that have been done and said, deep in their hearts, they still continue to value and respect each other. We completely understand how difficult and stressful life for Pasha may be now and how maturely with dignity she handles everything. That's way we love and support her, but we think that life for Evgeny may be not easy either. Unfortunately, dear Jaytex a d friends we cannot help, their future is in their hands. We, here, can only pray to God for them and hope for the best!!! Lots of love to everyone Claire and family

You are smart woman, use spell check or dictionary, many people do this to improve their spelling. Dear Pasha, You asked me to tell you about Trophée Lalique. Of course I'll do that! I'll just make a couple of comments on the top skaters. Oh, and I'm not that good on the technical stuff. And I am a bit (maybe a lot) biased about some of the skaters! Pairs: Abitbol&Bernadis, FRA: won the competition. Uses the same SP as last year but it's better now. In the LP they do a theme of "Angel and Devil" with Sarah wearing white and Stephan in black. Good program but it really dosen't show the good and evil theme. A l the elements worked except they lost the unision on the sbs spin. Also did a new death spiral with Sarah in a besti squad position, diden't look so good but on the other side it's nice with new inovations. Totmanina&Marinin, RUS: Surprise they came second. Was forth I think after SP but had a really good LP. Ina&Zimmerman, USA: Second after SP but then missed a lot in the LP. Especially Z. fell on some of the jumps and then I. lost it on the death spiral. Diden't make it to the podium. Zagorska&Siudek, POL: Ended third with after a good LP. Ladies: Butyrskaya, RUS: Won, with a LP to the Swan Lake. The music parts she've choosen is not the famous part of Swan Lake. She had a beautiful LP (no swan-wing-moves) but fell on one of the jumps. It was a close race between her and Volchkova, who came second. Maria's SP was flawless and desereve higher marks, IMHO (5.3-5.6 for technique). Volchkova, RUS: Came second. The only girl in the LP that diden't fall! Missed however on the loop, diden't work on the second try either. Hughes (sp?), USA: Third, nice LP with beautiful spirals and soft skating. Men: Yagudin, RUS: Won with a flawless LP. His presentation has improved and he got very flowing moves and armes now. Restencourt, FRA: Second. Ok, but he need to find his own style! Now he's trying to copy Candeloro and Tobel and it dosen't look any good. Dinev, ?: Third. A big surprise with Restencourt and Dinev on the podium! Thought Tobel and Weiss would be on it instead. But Weiss messed up with his jumps both in the SP and LP. Tobel was good and fun, diden't make any misstakes (what I could see) in the LP, guess the j dges dosen't like his mocking style and is telling him that! Ice dance: Anissina&Peizerat, FRA: Had a good CD (Argentine Tango). Revealed their new OD, to Rhumba/Samba. Great music, especially in the Rhumba part! Even if the music was very "sexy" their program was sophisticated and sensual. Had a very beautiful lift/spin nere the end. All the other OD's look kind of the same, but Marina and Gwendal sure got their own style! Marina is very into the dance but Gwendal did a few misstakes. Lost three first places to F-P&M, so they (A&P) and the French federation are not so happy a out that. They are going to change the OD now, but many of us seeing it at Lalique thought it was fine the way it was, just need a bit more work and polishing. The FD to Carmina Burana was wonderful and suits them perfect! They go on and on, never stops o slow down. A lot of difficult steps, turns and handholds. New steps, with Gwendal sort of jumping in the air (you got to see it) and inovating lifts. The reverse-lift (M lifting G) is one from their Romeo and Julit FD. 5.7-5.8 for technique and 5.9 and o e 6.0 for presentation. Fusar-Poli&Magaglio, ITA: second. Their Riverdance&Braveheart FD is very good! A hughe improvement from last year, they've lost a lot of the over dramatic look they used to have. Good OD too, took three first places from A&P in the OD. Drobiazko&Vanagas: Came third. Got the second best OD, IMHO, after A&P. Great diagonal step sequense, need to work to get better syncronized though. FD was beatiful and soft, very diffrent looking FD from last year. Exhibition: Abitbol&Bernadis did a marvelous Zorro-number! Hope you all get to see it sometime because it was one of the best exhibition's I ever seen! Ok, that was Trophée Lalique 1999! MY Dearest Pasha, welcome home, Im so glad you came back to us safe,AND HAPPY!I know what it's like in Germany,about the weather!!AND I was alway's cold,yes we lived in Fulda west Germany! when I first got to Germany,I was only 18 years old, and thought " ow,I cant beleve Im really here!I soon learnd how to speek the language,(not so good)but I tryed really hard to speak,and the pepole,liked that I wouled try!anyway,we lived in the city of Fulda,in a little town called"Ill try to spell it right,I cant spel to save my life as it is,BUT ILL give it a try",Needarhoaha, a small quite,little town,we had a small apt,and It would get so cold,we would take duct tape and tape over the cracks in the walls,because, you can feal the wind blow in through the cracks!we hre so young and poor,but in love and wanted so much to make life in Germany happy and successful I was pregnet with my first child Steven, now 13 in Dec,9.He,s a great boy ,at the age where he want,s to be (COOL)Ilove him very much,we lived down the stre t from a litte gasthaust,and the pepole there would by my man drinks,beer and pluma's and he would by the men drinks as well! they soon got to know us and like to see us come in !I wouled by,ice cream that was 5 mark,s in a little bowl!yummy.Ill stop bori g you to tears.....I did really enjoy my three years in germany! Dear Pasha, I've just returned home from Paris and had to write and let you know I had a great time there watching Trophée Lalique! If it wasen't for you I would never have gonne to a skating competition because you are the one that made me interested in figure skati g. Thank you! Dear Michelle and Amara, We've seen the movie "Piano" and remember the music if Amara skates to it she must be a very talented and serious girl..! BTW we agree with you Michelle on this subject (figure skating). We also read articles, which show some negative trends in figure sk ting heading to the New Millennium. Recently the commentators of Skate Canada, said that the the music, used by the skaters, does not suit to the their personality, temperament and so on but they used it because it's popular for the moment and people li e it. The situation is even worse with professional skaters showing same "soup opera" for years. It's a pity!!!! Last week I came across a story, describing a skater who had been skating with apathetic and bored face and suddenly in my mind appear the night when I cried for the FIRST time in my life on skating!!! It was last year while watching one f Pasha's performances. I do not know where the border line between sports and pure art is, but I know for sure that Pasha had crossed this line, touching our souls and bringing tears to our eyes! This is the reason why all of as love and support her and will be here for her in bad and good times!!! Love to all, Claire and family

I'm a brand new fan of Pasha!!! Dear Pasha fans and Pasha, My name is Michelle and I am sixteen years old. I am a huge fan of figure skating, Michelle Kwan, G&G, B&S and "PASHA"!! I had no idea who she was since she won the second gold medal at the Nagano Olympics. I became her actual fan after I visited Aushka s fan page. I ordered a skating tape from a fan of Tara a couple of weeks ago because I missed Tara's From this Moment special when it was aired and I really wanted to see it. I also asked him to put Tara's Olympic sp and lp if possible. He, thankfully ( :-) ) also p t the other gold medalists' performances at Nagano in the tape besides Tara's. He put Tara's performances first, Ilia's second, K&D's third and G&P's last. I watched Tara's and Ilia's performances very carefully, but I somewhat was not impressed by their skating. Tara's lp was okay, but I hated her scream at the end of her program. lia's skating was difficult, but I didn't like the music and the costume... I loved K&D's performances very much, though... Pasha finally stepped on the ice. I was really excited because it was the *FIRST* time I had ever seen her on the ice... Her dark blue dress was soooo beautiful, and I loved it right away. Her music began. It was one of the best music I'd ever heard... Her skating looked technically really difficult, and the choreography was sophisticated. Her arm movements were beautiful, too. Once the program was over, Pasha cried... It's really hard to describe what I felt yesterday night in words... The performances just made me love Pasha and her passion of skating much more. I have a story to tell about your Mum.......I met my Japanese friend last year on Sparkassen Cup on Ice at Gelsenkirchen (Germany). Since then we exchange letters and she sent me also pictures which she took at Nagano Olympics 98. In one of her letters to me, she mentioned that she met your mother last year at Gelsenkirchen uring the Sparkassen Cup on Ice (Novemeber) 1998. Your Mum told my Japanese friend that she cares for you a lot and that she loves you bec. you are her dear daughter. Your Mum also gave my Japanese friend a photo of you (with Sasha on the background bec you skated briefly last year with him). My friend sent me this copy foto because she knows I admire you a lot. I hope your Mum can still remember this Japanese woman (they were actually four women) who flew to Germany to watch this figure skating even at Gelsenkirchen. This year she will not be able to fly to watch the competition but I will be going to Gelsenkirchen to watch the Sparkassen Cup on Ice `99 on Nov 11-14. I live quite near to Gelsenkirchen so I will be attending almost all the programm s including the gala. I wonder if your Mum is coming over to watch this event. Dear Pasha, I would like to thank you ever so much for the beautiful autographed picture you sent me. It is very nice and I will treasure it forever:) I am happy to hear that you can get back to skating on Monday! It must be frustrating to have to miss competitions b cause of injury. I can kind of relate because I have bad overuse injuries from practicing flute and piano too much:( It doesn't look like I will going to Piter in the fall after all to study music. I will probably be going to Teacher's college to become a elementary school music teacher. I am kind of upset about this, but at least I will be sharing my talents with children so that they can develop their talents. I have some private piano students right now who I love, but one of them won't ever practice..G RR.. I will eventually get to Russia I hope. My husband and I were thrilled to learn, from Anushka's posts, that you are going to skate to the music of Emma Shapplin, because we love her songs a lot, especially "de l'abime au rivage". But the real bl ss is going to be listening to her and watching your beautiful and emotional skating. Chopin's "Fantaisie-Impromptu" from your front page is wonderful. BTW do you like Vangelis CD "Voices" especially "Come to me" and "Ask the mountains"? What about Yanni nd his "Reflections of Passion" and "Devotion"? We are not musicians, but love music too much, every kind of it. We read that you want to connect cinema and skating/dancing which seems to be a perfect idea. Do you think that some classical and historical movies could be brought to life through the magic of figure skating? Say Cleopatra, Anna Karenina, etc. We've ne er seen something like this. My dear friends, my soul, thank you so very much for your wonderful calls, e-cards and e-mails. I read them every day, but didn't want to write about all my troubles. I wish to make you only happier, so that the sun will always shine for you all. I have t e greatest fans in the world! I felt very sad about my injury. YEEH! it is much better now, my doctor said that next week I can continue my practice first in sport hale, then we will see. But last days were not too boring for me, I wrote 30 sides more in my book. I will not get it in one book-too many things I would like to tell you. The earthquake was so horrible, more frightful than war. I thought about Andy, Karen, Kimmi and all of you. When the Perestroika in Moscow was, we could choose the best time or the practice, during the time when was not many of the shoots. When we went to the white house, we were together, but during the earthquake everyone was alone against the spontaneous the nature. I had a feeling that my life would come to an end, but co ld not do anything to save myself. Karen and Kimmi know how it was. From your prays we are all save and healthy. Karen, do you remember how hard we were looking for Emma Shapplin? This CD was stolen. I wanted to polish it, so that it will be a very pecial, but it was unlucky idee. Of cause I will get the same CD next week, but was not nice feelings. How do you like music on the front site? I was touched by this music after my aunt played it to me during her last visit. Hi Pasha, Your health is more important than the competition you had to withdraw. Even if I was disappointed to learn you didn't participate, I think it was probably a good decision to listen your doctor and priorise your health. I'm sure your fans understand and will patient until your entiere recovery. Remember Alexei Urmanov (I'm also one of his fans.) He had to stop competition during almost two years. He recently come back and his fans remember him and continue to like him. It's probably extremely difficult for you, athletes, to withdraw from your sport who probably is a very big part of your life. "I'm in a state of shock and had prepared two beautiful and emotional programs for my fans since many months; one 'de l'abime au rivage' by the French opera singer Emma Shapplin which I dedicated to my late father and the second; 'L - for love' by Richard Clayderman". " I have a letter from my doctor that my management will be faxing in to the ESPN organizers, and I hope that they do understand that my heart is broken not being there". The organizers of the 'Starskates'- 'Salute to Barry Manilow', have invited Ms Pasha Grishuk to be their honored guest at this skating Gala, on the weekend of October 8-10th. Ms. Grishuk met the CEO of the production company 'Adventures on Ice', while com entating at the European Championships in Prague earlier this year - they exchanged phone numbers and she received an invite to the show.

You know from Jay, that I am going to ESPN Professional Figure Skating Championships this October 18th and 19th, held in Huntington. First I wanted to go only to shows at this season, but after my plan to Australia and Canada was broken, I decided to go to the competitions direct now. I don't think about the place, uch more important for me to bring fan for all people who will be their and of course for my fans. Since 1983 I was a dancer - first with Alexander Tchichkov, later, since 1989 till 1998 with Evgeny Platov. But now I have to work at different disciplin . PASHA'S SINGLE'S DEBUT !!!!!!!!!!! I just received an email from Pasha, she has been signed to skate in the ESPN Professional Figure Skating Championships (formerly JP Pro's) this October 18th and 19th, held in Huntington, W.VA. She will skate in the 'singles' category and will be required to skate two programs, one technical and another artistic - these will be marked on a scale to 10.0 by a panel of five judges. The artistic mark will be on the basis of composition, artistry and style!. The judges are comprised from the ranks of figure skating (i.e. coaches, former medalists, choreographers, etc). There will be two marks for the technical and one for the artistic program. Other singles skaters booked are : Elizabeth Manley and Tonia Kwiatkowski with another TBD. The event will air on ESPN in 'Prime Time', during the fourth quarter of '99. >>> As a footnote: As I understand it to be, NO other female Olympic Champion Ice Dancer has EVER made the transition to a professional singles skater in the annals of the sport - so (once again!) HI Pasha and friends Just a quick note to tell everyone the Pasha move is going so well that my coach is begging me to put it in my Enigma program. We put in at the end of the program, Pasha after the birds the music now has thunder and that is where it is. I will spend the next 3 days working on the program with the Pasha in it, if I can do it consistently and my knee does not swell I will include the move in my competition this Sunday. I sure hope I can do it, it is such an ugly fall if you let you shoulder drop even slightly so I do have butterflies about trying it in competition. Happy, happy News!!! CONGRATULATION to TATIANA with bringing a BABY to our Earth! "...our DAUGHTER at 5:16pm on the 5th. The ultrasounds were wrong, our son is actually a very big little girl. I ended up needing an emergency c-section to deliver her because I couldn't dialate enough and she was really too big for me to deliver naturally. They feared I would need a blood transfusion, but thankfully it wasn't necessary. I was very anemic, but my vitals stayed very good so I recovered ok. Anyway, she weighed in at 8 pounds 8 ounces and was 20 and a half inches long. She has a full head of lite brown wavy hair and big blue eyes. She looks just like daddy. ..." Dearest Tatiana, I and all my friends around here wish you and your ANGEL be healthy, happy and lucky!!! Please give our congratulations to your husband. We all are very proud of you! I have to agree with everyone else, those pictures on the front page are so beautiful! They are the best pictures I ever saw of Pasha before! :) Pasha, my cat Gordon is a long haired black and white cat. He looks a lot like a skunk! I'm not sure exactly what kind of cat he is, because he came as a stray a year ago. He is beautiful though, and I love him so much! I'll try to get a picture of hi on here sometime. The thing I like most about him is that he is very gentle. He never scratches (Even though he has claws), and he's very nice to my other cats. Pasha, you truly do have a heart of 'gold'!!:^). I cannot thank you enough for the wonderful things that you sent me today!! :^). Wow, out of all the skaters that I requested an autographed picture from, you were thee 'ONLY' one to go above and beyond!!! :^)! Just to let everybody else know, I've written to about 45 skaters and I have received responses from about 25% of them. And the ones that did respond, sent me an autographed photo and in some instances a little note to go along with it. But Pasha as thee 'Only' one to go above and beyond....she personally signed and sent my baby niece the cutest singing foreign card, along with several other FABULOUS photos!! :^D! Thank You So Very Much, Pasha....souls that are so generous and giving shall surely not be overlooked by God. :^). Pasha, my dear, dear friend, I want to thank you for your very thoughtful email regarding my vacation. I realize that I tend to overdramatize things...(like a bad actor!)(Jay can tell you how I feel about hurricanes!)and yet you took the time to show your concern. My flights were fine. I didn't like them, but then again, I think I never will enjoy flying. I would prefer the plane to taxi 1300 miles. The vacation was a real love fest. Also, my Tony is still waiting to make you a big pasta dinner (which will be delicious) when you come down to Naples to skate! We all love your new photo. You look smashing!
